WHAT IS JESMONITE?

Jesmonite is a modern composite made from a mineral base and water-based resin offering the look and feel of stone, without the environmental impact.

WHY WE LOVE IT?

We're drawn to Jesmonite for the natural softness and sustainable strength.  Each piece we pour, whether a sculptural bowl or a simple modern tray has a wonderfully tactile feel and a quality that you would associate with traditional materials.

CARING FOR JESMONITE

Our Care Guidelines:

Quick Spill Clean-up:  All of our pieces are coated with a protective acrylic or wax sealer, however you should wipe up spills promptly using a soft cloth to prevent staining and preserve the surface.

Gentle Cleaning:  Avoid the use of aggressive scrubbing pads or abrasive cleansers, as they may damage the textured finish. Instead, use a soft, non-abrasive cloth such as a microfibre cloth for gentle cleaning.  It is ok to use a slightly damp cloth if necessary, but do not immerse in water.

Heat and Sunlight Protection:  Although Jesmonite is a heat resistant product, you should take care to protect your piece(s) from high heat sources and direct sunlight exposure, as these factors may impact its appearance and structural integrity.

Dishwasher Safety:  Our Jesmonite pieces are NOT dishwasher safe. 

Important Note:  In the event of accidental dropping, please be aware that the product may shatter into pieces due to its delicate composition. Exercise caution during handling.

Please Note : Air bubbles may naturally occur during production.  These air bubbles are not considered flaws but rather a captivating and unique feature of your handcrafted piece.
