Jesmonite is a water-based eco-friendly acrylic resin which is solvent free, sustainable and heat resistant.
AC100 - A smooth stone like finish which is incredibly tactile and can be coloured during the making process to create some beautiful effects
AC730 - a cement material which can be etched to give the effect of a natural stone finish
CARING FOR YOUR PRODUCT
Here are some things to know about caring for your Jesmonite product...
Care should be taken not to drop your Jesmonite product on hard surfaces, as although it is a strong material it can break or weaken if dropped.
Not suitable for Dishwasher or Microwave use
Wipe clean with a non-abrasive cloth. A damp cloth may be used, but dry thoroughly
A protective sealant is applied to trays, coasters and bowls to prevent stains, but prolonged exposure to watermarks or liquids may cause staining over time if not properly cleaned
Sealant is not applied to our candle vessels
It is not advisable to use Jesmonite products to directly serve food as it is not a food grade material
Avoid immersing your product in water as this may weaken the material over time
NOTE: All of our Jesmonite pieces are created by hand and as a result there may be natural flaws and air bubbles that occur in the making process. We do everything we can to get each piece as perfect as possible, but this is the nature of the material we use and therefore forms part of the handmade look of each product. We do not consider these imperfections, rather making them beautifully original and organic.
Please also note that each resin pour will result in different patterns when purchasing the marble effect pieces and cannot be exactly as shown in a photograph, although we do all we can to ensure collections are made using the exact same ratios of pigment for each pour batch. An important note if you plan to buy a matching product at a later date.
